On behalf of organizing committee members, it is my great pleasure to announce our forthcoming "TOYOTA RIKEN International Workshop on Bent-Core Liquid Crystals". Bent-core liquid crystals are still one of the most active fields of liquid crystals. Particularly, the recently-discovered twist-bend nematic phase is attracting many scientists in physics and chemistry. We believe that having the workshop on this specific topic under these circumstances is very invaluable for understanding physics and prospecting the materials for further scientific and application development.

The workshop is fully supported by Toyota Physical and Chemical Research Institute (TOYOTA RIKEN). Participation to the scientific program is completely free of charge. About ten invited talks will be given in one and half day workshop. We may also accept general oral contributions from all over the world. All of you are welcome to participate the TOYOTA RIKEN International Workshop on Bent-Core Liquid Crystals. See you in beautiful November in Tokyo.
